THERE IS NO THIRD VARIANT

On February 18th the international conference on “NKR Independence 20th anniversary: Realities and Perspectives” was completed in Stepanakert. Among the speakers was Historical Sciences Doctor, RA NAS corresponding member Nikolay Hovanisyan who spoke on “NK State Doctrine Evolution”. He considered two variants of NKR problem resolution. According to the first one, NKR again declares its independence, and the second one – its reunion with the Republic of Armenia about which there is a document adopted on December 1, 1988 by NKR and Armenia legislative authorities. Till now this document maintains its legal force. There is no third variant.

In the end of the Conference a statement was adopted where it is mentioned that in South Caucasus NKR is a balancing factor of geopolitical forces.
