WORLD CHAMPION
More than 20 months in military service, actor studio, professional sport, diplomatic education – all this is concentrated in one soldier, Sergeant Vladimir Naljyan, whose friends call him just Vlad.
From 6 years he was participating in karate classes, after a year he was admitted to Sofi Devoyan’s dance-studio. At 9 he again joined karate course headed by Gor Vardanyan. Vlad’s mother, Svetlana has done everything that her sons, besides being model citizens, become also professional sportsmen.
Erik, Vlad’s 15-year old brother, became karate champion of Armenia when he was 8. In 2005 both brothers became champions of Armenia.
When Vlad was 16, he participated in Dukendo-Karate World Championship in Las Vegas and became world champion.
After completing the 2nd year in the University International Relations Department, in June, 2010 Vlad joined the army.
“I can’t understand those guys who avoid army service. Here I learned a lot from my commander Lt. Colonel Margaryan, Major K.Avanesyan, and I’m very grateful to them. Army gave me an Armenian mentality, man’s qualities, ability to quickly pattern your behaviour in hopeless situations and easily come out of them. I learned to piously fulfill my patriotic duty, establish friendly relations with my co-servicemen. I teach them to fight which is very important for self-defense”, – tells Vlad.
