Interview with AF Arming Head, Department Head Major General Mels Chilingaryan

-Mr.General, how is armed our army? Can it guarantee Armenian nation’s security?

-To this definite question I’ll give a definite reply: our Armed Forces are ready to resist probable challenges.

-Azerbaijan gives huge resources to arm its army. Are we able to maintain balance?

-Firstly, only some part of those resources are used on arming. Secondly, those sums are wasted illogically, they buy without taking into consideration their reasonability. Today there is a huge quantity of failed military technology in Azerbaijan.

-How much is our failed military technology?

-We don’t have such. If there is a malfunctioning we quickly come to know about that and immediately eliminate it. I’d say also that our domestic arms production develops rapidly the last years, and our AF are enriched with arms, military technology and ammunition including modern ones.
