COMBAT REGIMENT IS 20

On February 23rd it is 20 years of the regiment which acts under the command of Lt.Colonel K.Sedrakyan.

On January 25, 1993 a separate motorized infantry regiment was formed, and on February 23rd – MI brigade which successfully participated in Artsakh war.

On September 18, 1995 the brigade got a Combat Banner.

On June 21, 2000 the brigade was disbanded on the order of RA Defense Minister.

On January 26, 2007 the regiment was rewarded with the order “Vardan Mamikonyan” for bravery in defending the borders of the Homeland.

On the results of 2007-2008 training year the regiment was recognized as the best and was rewarded with a Flag of Honour.
