Interview with RA MoD Head of Defense Policy Department Levon Ayvazyan

– How would you assess the current level of international military cooperation?

– International military cooperation is one of the most important instruments of defense policy. On multisided and two-side surfaces of this sphere the Defense Ministry pursuits two basic aims. First aim – development of defense system introducing leading international experience, second – create international guarantees to ensure security of Armenia.

The current level of international military cooperation of Armenia I assess rather high and not only because in previous years this cooperation got qualitative and quantitative development. It is more important that international military cooperation kept its balanced character and extensive possibilities of development in all directions, acquired mutually beneficial and pragmatic character with far going aims and clear tasks.
