ARTILLERY – GOD OF WAR

Every year on October 19, the Day of Rocket-Artillery Troops is being solemnly celebrated. Since it is celebrated almost in the end of the education year, that’s why it is a very good time to analyze the work done during the education process, to assess achievements and blunders.

It is not a secret that military industry seeks to use new achievements of science, new arms emerge. However artillery don’t loose its meaning. It was and remain the decisive factor in battles and yet preserve its title of the god of war.

During of more than 20 years of rocket-artillery troops history Armenian people, particularly the generation of Artsakh war, remember with love and gratitude our high-class artillerists: «Grad Zhora», «Grad Alik», «Grad Garun», shooter from one flamethrower to another Youri Khachaturov, Michael Harutyunyan, skilled manager Vladimir Hayrapetyan and many others who had their huge contribution not only in the liberation of Artsakh but also they transferred their experience and knowledge to their junior companions, and with this created conditions for the firm development of the arm.
