ARMENIA-GEORGIA COOPERATION PLAN FOR 2014 APPROVED

A delegation headed by Mr. Mikheil Darchiashvili, Deputy Minister of Defense of Georgia was visiting Armenia form January 28 to 29.

During the visit the delegation participated in ceremonies celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the Armenian Armed Forces Formation and was hosted by Defense Minister S. Ohanyan and 1st Deputy Minister of Defense D. Tonoyan. At the meetings parties discussed possibilities to expand the cooperation between the two defense agencies and prospects of cooperation in multilateral format.

The sides also approved and signed the cooperation plan for 2014 between the Ministries of Defense of Armenia and Georgia.

The program includes a number of different level delegation visits and exchange of experience in defense policy, peacekeeping, mountain training, military education, resource management and in other spheres.
