WITH SOLDIER – FOR SOLDIER

After two years of the formation of independent Armenia’s national army it was decided to provide its own armed forces with medical personnel. Since 1994 Faculty of Military Medicine of the State Medical University after M.Heratsi, which was created by government decision No. 232 of May 19, 1994 on the basis of Medical Service and Emergency Medicine Organization Department, trains specialists.

In 1994-1995 admission to the faculty was made from the 5th year students of medical, pediatric and sanitation departments of the University, and in 1996 the first course for students was opened.

Today medical officers defend candidate and doctoral dissertations, publish scientific articles, do complicated operations, fight for the life and health of our soldiers-defenders of the Motherland
