WE HOLD HIGH THE HONOR OF OUR FLAG

These days an Olympiad on military English was held in Ryazan where a group of RA Ministry of Defense participated, too.

Group’s leader Colonel Mnatsakan Khachatryan tells.

– That was the third, final stage of all-army Olympiad on foreign language between high military-educational institutions. There were 30 commands from Russia and one from Armenia, Belarus, Tajikistan, Kirgizia and Turkmenistan – CIS “associate member”.

In the final stage 3 rounds and one team event were held. In the first round, our team took second place among 35 teams. In the second round it was asked to prepare an information release or operational report in English based on the results of the observation point in the duty. Here the Armenian students took fourth place, and in “conditional” standings of CIS countries – second place.

In the team competition, our team made an oral presentation in English on “Why peacekeepers are needed?”, showing on the screen a rather meaningful and reliable slideshow. From offset we took second place in the 1st round among 35 commands, and on the final offset we took second place among 6 national commands of CIS.
