NEW COMMANDER: GREAT DESIRE TO JUSTIFY THE CONFIDENCE

Lt.Colonel Rafik Shahgeldyan from platoon commander was promoted to battalion commander. In 2006 his battalion was recognized as the best. Since April 2014 he is the Commander of the regiment – “Vardan Mamikonyan” order bearer. Awarded medals, certificates and letters of thanks.

Before him the regiment commander was Colonel R.Gasparyan who in one educational year could significantly change the situation, and the regiment again won the title of “Best of the artillery” and was awarded an Honourary Banner.

– It’s a big honour for me to serve in this regiment, – tells Lt. Colonel Shahgeldyan. – Here commanders were people who had a significant contribution to the formation and establishment of artillery of our army, victory in Artsakh war. For the third time our regiment receives Banner of Honour. Last year important functions were held, from which can be separated tactical exercise with live firing, particularly precision shots “Shturm-S”, training mobilization of reservists. The registered 100-percent result shows that our people, as well as local authorities are not separate from the army, and at any moment we can multiply the strength of the army.
