CELEBRATING 17 YEARS OF FORMATION OF 4TH ARMY CORPS

On July 12 at Vayots Dzor district-centre the 17th anniversary of the 4th Army Corps was solemnly celebrated. Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Head of AF GS Colonel General Youriy Khachaturov, other high-ranking officers were present.

Minister Ohanyan welcomed the participants, after him Army Corps Commander, Major General Andranik Makaryan made an introductory statement and presented the Corps’ traversed path and achievements.

The Army Corps was formed in July, 1997. In the case of its formation his worthy contribution has its first commander, Colonel General Youriy Khachaturov. After him that work was continued by Lieutenant General Martin Karapetyan, Major General Seyran Saroyan, Lieutenant General Arshaluys Paytyan.

Units of the Army Corps performed with dignity and today continue to carry out their combat missions.

In the end of the military parade Minister Seyran Ohanyan in his concluding speech assured that as during the years of Artsakh war, as well as today the Armenian soldier and officer carry out their combat missions with dignity preventing unsuccessful sabotage operations of the enemy.
