MILITARY MEDICINE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT LINK OF THE ARMY

Minister S.Ohanyan: “Our army really needs smart, caring, courageous doctors”.

On the occasion of the 23rd anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met with faculty and students of the State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. He presented the work done in the RA Armed Forces in 2014 and mentioned that the focus has been and remains on a full Border Service and to make combat duty safer.

As for equipping with weapons and military equipment the emphasis is primarily on the qualitative characteristics. Acquired means are effective, modern, accurate and meet the requirements of modern armies.

S.Ohanyan also spoke on the recent progress of the Military-Medical Department, which prepares medical personnel for the RA armed forces: “The tasks assigned to the Military-Medical Department (i.e. improvement, the creation of educational – scientific center) show that we try to carry out the activities of the army on the basis of knowledge”.
