MILITARY TACTICAL EXERCISES OF SERVICEMEN

From 13 to 19 October in the alpine complexes of Armenia “Kamkhud” and “Alagyaz” military exercises were conducted including all the military units of Russian bases of the Southern Military District.

The trainings, which are the summer final examinations, were attended by nearly 3000 servicemen, more than 500 units of military and special equipment were involved, including MiG-29 fighters of Russian aviation unit, which are stationed at a military airfield “Erebouni”.

The main purpose of the training was to test the association of military training in order to achieve a high level of military training, the improvement of field retraining, training of practical skills of commanders at all levels.

During training soldiers completed 1000 kilometer march with different types of armor and automotive equipment, more than 30 thousand artillery rockets were shot at, as well as 300 thousand shots from automatic guns and machine guns of large caliber, and about 900 thousand bullets from small arms.

According to the flow of ammunition the intensity of combat training has increased by 4.5 times compared with the previous year.
