RA DEFENSE MINISTER MET WITH RF 1ST DEPUTY DEFENSE MINISTER

RF 1st Deputy Defense Minister, Army General Arkadiy Bakhin in Gyumri presented RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan the progress of the work done by the Commission of the RF Defense Ministry in the direction of disclosure of the crime which happened yesterday. Army General Bakhin expressed readiness to continue cooperation with RA law enforcement agencies in the implementation of internal service investigation, which is being conducted in the 102 RF military base in the framework of the criminal case against the detained soldier Valeriy Permyakov.

THE POLITICIZATION OF THE INCIDENT IS INAPPROPRIATE

– I think that in every such case there is the circle of those responsible. There is an individual, his environment, inside of which such an atmosphere was formed, his supervisors who worked with that militaryman… During the investigation, all will be revealed. It all depends on what the suspect will tell and how will explain what happened. But the fact that we consistently will go to the end and the culprit or culprits will be punished, that’s for sure! Today it is inappropriate to politicize the incident and seek some deterioration in relations, since our political dialogue with RF, our political relations are on a very high level, our military cooperation is also on a rather high level.
