CLEAN LANGUAGE – NOBLE MANNERS
Major Hakob Sargsyan is Deputy Commander of one of the battalions of a border military unit under the command of Lt. Colonel S.Poghosyan.
On the continuous improvement and development of friendly relations and discipline this interview is conducted by Colonel Aram Nersisyan.
– The hardest part is the work with the soldiers, with the unit, especially when this unit performs combat duty. From my experience I can say that the success of a unit is in the comprehensive training of its members. Important factors are also self-consciousness of soldiers, their moral and psychological qualities.
Combat duty we conduct with all the staff. As the battalion commander, I too should be in all the reference points to check the situation, talk to the soldiers and officers. Soldiers need to be sure that we carry with them all the responsibility and burden of duty. We ask the soldiers to be like a family. You know, in the high mountains, in front of the enemy the mentality of a man, his world view completely changes, domestic issues become scanty and not important, because you think only of the homeland, the pride and dignity of fellow citizens.
Today, serious work is conducted against street manners, in the direction of purity of the native language. Of course, it is impossible for a day or a month to eliminate the shortcomings that have accumulated over the years. For me it is very important the purity of language, because most incidents begin with dirty witty.
Army is the sphere where are essential not only punishment, but also encouraging. We actively apply the methods of awarding titles as well as awarding medals and diplomas.
