IN THE TURKISH-IRANIAN RELATIONS A TREND IN DEVELOPMENT OF TENSION IS NOTICEABLE

Last week, President Erdogan made a tough anti-Iranian statement in which he condemned the Iranian authorities that they openly interfere in the ongoing processes in Yemen.

Now, when the resolution of the nuclear issue of Iran is near, and Tehran will be able to conduct more at ease regional policy, Turkey and Saudi Arabia became very concerned, who are not ready to accept the new possible role of Iran.

After Erdogan’s statement the Turkish Ambassador was summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, and Chairman of Security and Defense issues Committee of the Majlis of Iran Mohamed Esmail Kusari said that they will answer to the unbalanced words of Erdogan. He noted that the Majlis together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will create a commission to discuss the issue. According to Kusari, they will try to persuade the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cancel the scheduled April visit of the President of Turkey.
