CRUSHING BLOW WILL NOT BE LATE

Azerbaijani armed forces at the border have already begun to use 120mm caliber mortars. Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov said that “we have so many weapons and equipment that from our strike Armenians hundreds of years will not come to their senses” and that the “first strike would destroy 70% of the enemy.”

It’s been three months since I am commander of this military unit. We can say that my appointment coincided with the escalation of tension in this area. During these three months, soldiers of the military unit threw back enemy’s sabotage groups, causing heavy losses, neutralized the road which was mined in three directions. A few days ago our conscript, implementing observation, revealed a sniper, who was preparing for the assignment, and destroyed him. It turned out that he was the commander of the reconnaissance company.

At such moments you feel that today’s generation is not inferior to us, and if necessary even they’ll fight better. If we were gaining experience during the war, they are learning today. We are ready for war, ready to deliver the knockout blow. And this time, too, we will fight for our country, for our land, our house, and in the name of what will fight their soldiers? Let Zakir Hasanov think about it before his delusional statements.

If in July and August there was no need of participation of my military unit, in February-March we were directly involved. Over the years this is the first time that the enemy uses 120mm mortars, which, of course, exacerbate tensions and stresses Armenophobic policy of the Azerbaijani side. Even if we assume the situation is tense, still concern about the resumption of large-scale military action is unfounded.

If you look at this issue globally, in my opinion, the activation of the enemy is mainly due to geopolitical situation, especially Russia-West confrontation. Azerbaijan is trying to prove that it is the master of the situation in the region. It also performs the order to drop shadow on the activities on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. Turkey uses its younger brother, «to get the chestnuts out of the fire” with its hands.
