THERE IS NO REASON FOR CONCERN: IN THE ARMY EPIDEMIOLOGICAL SITUATION IS STABLE
Interview with Head of the Military Medical Department, Colonel Kamavor Khachatryan
Immediately I’ll soothe the parents. In the army there is no epidemic of infections of the summer season. Works to prevent the spread of infections have been effective. We are talking about sanitary measures and scrutiny of food for soldiers. The military units have all the necessary conditions for the storage of food. All the soldiers wash their hands before taking food with a solution of chlorine bleach. We are very attentive that soldier’s bed, clothes are clean, that they bathe in time. The staff of canteens undergo medical examination every three months in winter, and every month in summer. Periodically the water quality is checked.
Among the soldiers respiratory disease, angina are mostly prevalent. Planned operations of chronic tonsillitis were organized. In the military units there are experienced and professional doctors. Military units of the frontline are equipped with devices of blood and urine diagnostics, and different medical facilities, allowing to identify and prevent possible disease development on time. Through the efforts of “Armenian Association of Medical Doctors” frontline is being equipped with ambulances from the United States.
Both our military and civil medical institutions are always ready at any moment to any challenge.
