GRAD GAROUN IS 60!

Artillery of the Armenian army was created and formed in difficult conditions. Armenian artillery on the battlefield showed indescribable courage, bravery, will and with this further strengthened the fighting capacity of the army. One of those was dedicated military Garunik Khachatur Abgaryan – Grad Garoun.

Garoun Abgaryan in 1990-1992 participated in the battles of Artsvashen, villages Erkedzh-Buzlukh-Kharkhaput-Karachinar of Shahumyan region, in defensive battles of the Lachin corridor. He was master of the combat use of Grad (BM-21), he carried out the firing alone, although the calculation assumes a minimum of 6-7 people, but he had only one driver.

For the brave service and numerous feats Garoun was awarded many state awards: medals of Presidents of Armenia and NKR “For courage”, “For Service to the Motherland” of 2nd degree, “Vazgen Sargsyan”, etc.
