“UNION-2015: DESCENDANTS OF VICTORY “: START IS GIVEN

On August 17, the international youth military-sports competition-gathering, “Union-2015: the descendants of Victory” was launched, which was attended by 500 participants from different countries of the CIS. Gathering is carried out under the patronage of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia with the assistance of the public movement “Valor of fatherland” and the Federation of Military wrestling “Rus”. The opening ceremony was attended by RA Defense Ministry’s and the General Staff’s administrative board, headed by Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Gabriel Ghazarian, foreign military attaches, accredited in the Republic of Armenia, war veterans and other distinguished guests.

In his speech, Minister Ohanyan said: “The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia attaches great importance to the gathering “Union-2015: the descendants of Victory” since it is a truly international program with patriotic direction and contains a strong idea and a powerful charge, unites past and present.”

Secretary of Defense Ministers Council of the CIS member countries Alexander Sinayskiy noted that the participants have the opportunity to represent the interests of their countries. “During the gathering, you will have the opportunity to show both your physical fitness and mental abilities, creative skills and, most importantly, human qualities.”
