OFFSITE GATHERINGS-MEETING ON SECURITY IN GARRISONS
Ensuring the safety of military service – is the implementation of security during everyday activities of the military unit, personnel of the military unit and each soldier from the impact of possible hazards, their bases and the territory of the military unit performing public tasks, their property, and the environment.

According to the educational year plan and the corresponding order of the chief of the General Staff of RA Armed Forces, to encourage the work of safety military service commissions, together with the chairmen and secretaries of these commissions of military units and regiments, from 1 to 6 February offsite gatherings-meetings on “Ensuring the safety of military service and the role of the SMS Commission of military unit” were held in the garrisons of Goris, Yeghegnadzor, Sevan, Lori, Armavir and Yerevan headed by the chief of the General Staff Department of military service and security of military service.
In his opening remarks, Colonel Karapetyan noted that it is possible to have a reduction in the risks of military service only if they comply with the requirements of security of military service, strengthen discipline, if the militarymen will be guided by the charter, and will operate the principle of “One for all and all for one”.
It was noted that during the competition SMS standing committees of 15 military units received a mark of “good”, and the best have been recognized the military units under the command of Colonel Tatoul Hayrapetyan (1st prize), Colonel Vahe Hovsepyan (2nd prize) and Colonel Rafik Shahgeldyan (3rd prize).
Then Colonel Karapetyan urged heads of the Commissions that they are properly prepared for the upcoming methodical and practical class “Safety Day”.
Wishing secure service, Colonel reminded the order of the Minister – “as a result of consistent and hard work, coordination of efforts and implementation of international best practices, in 2016 we have to do everything possible to organize more safe and effective service, and multiply the current success.”
