Narek Malkhasyan, Arayik Grigoryan

In the courtyard of the military hospital I meet conscripts Narek Malkhasyan, who shot down the helicopter MI-24 with grenade, and Araik Grigoryan who destroyed soldiers fleeing from helicopter. Both serve for 22 months. They say, they could not even imagine that one day they’ll find themselves in the midst of the fighting.

Narek not only caused great material damage to the enemy, but also saved the life of the whole battalion.

– I know that the grenade is not intended to destroy air targets, but at the moment if there was even a slingshot in my hands, I would have used it, – says Narek.

After the army Narek will continue his studies, he wants to become a technologist of wine and brandy, and Arayik has decided to marry.

Marat Petrosyan, Hayk Melkumyan

“Master” – they name so conscript Marat Petrosyan. In three days 19-year-old soldier with shots from “Faggot” destroyed 5 enemy tanks, 1 infantry fighting vehicle.

– I serve 14 months. I never had shoot from “Faggot”. During the fighting, my first shot did not reach the goal, but the second reached. We got very much inspired. There were 10 tanks in the direction of our position, we were obliged to support our comrades. After 2 hours I destroyed one more tank. On the second day 3 tanks I turned into scrap metal, and the next day – one BMP.

A friend of Marat, Hayk Melkumyan also hit one tank.

– My uncle, who is the deputy commander of the union, through communication gave me direction. I was obliged not to miss.

Benik Hambardzumyan

Conscript Benik shot down enemy’s drone by his weapon LC-23-2. For 30 seconds, he led the station in combat readiness and fired, the drone fell down from a height of 1200m.
