ARTILLERY ACTED PERFECTLY

Chief of Staff of the missile troops and artillery of the RA Armed Forces, Deputy Head of department Colonel Artavazd Yakhmuryan commends the actions of the AoD artillery units during the four-day battles.

AoD gunners acted very well, if we consider the availability of enemy’s greatest potential of exploration, discovery. Our artillery had no losses, could move quickly, accurately hit the targets.

I want to mention the skilled actions of artillery units engaged in combat duty. Co-operation between infantry and artillery units was high. No operation was carried out without the support of artillery.

If we compare the weapons and ammunition used by us and the enemy, we can say that our guys with small munitions completed more specific tasks. And this is with great opportunities of enemy’s intelligence available at the moment.

Azerbaijan used all of the means of artillery: a missile artillery of various calibres, “Grad”, TOS-1 “Solntsepek”, MLRS “Smerch”. The most powerful means we used were 152mm-guns and the stations “Grad”.
