IN REMEMBRANCE TO THE NATIONAL HERO

On September 29, 2011 in the Military Aviation Institute after Marshal Armenak Khanperyants of MOD RA in Yerevan a function was organized dedicated to the 50th anniversary of National Hero of the Republic of Armenia Movses Gorgisyan. Hero’s widow, Rouzan Gorgisyan, his friends and classmates, MAI students and teachers participated in the function. Film “Movses” (director: Samvel Tadevosyan, Movses’s classmate, film text read by Khoren Abrahamyan, People’s Artist of Armenia) was screened.

Rouzan Gorgisyan and Movses’s friends described the hero as a man and national personality, shared memories about him. Movses was killed on January 19, 1990 in the age of 28. “I got condolence-telegrams even from Azerbaijan, – said the hero’s widow, – words of consolation were written by those Azeris for whom freedom and independence were values”.
