THE ARMENIAN SONG IN FARAWAY SAKHALIN

For days, it was a real musical holiday in the Russian Federation’s Sakhalin Island. The Spasskaya Bashnya International Festival brought together members of the Armenian and Russian military bands. As always, it was another opportunity for showing high quality and professionalism, and most importantly, another to raise the name of Armenia on the foreign shores.

The members of the Armenian band and the soloists of the song and dance ensemble sang and performed folk songs, as well as pop and jazz. Thanks to our performing arts and unique instrumentation, our singers and musicians have created a truly festive, “chaotic” atmosphere for the Sakhalin residents and its Armenian community.

The orchestra returned to Armenia with certificates and souvenirs. The boys of the band did their best to represent Armenia with dignity.

By the way, the closing ceremony and gala concert of the Spasskaya BAshnya International Festival were entrusted to the Armenian Armed Forces Orchestra and the Song and Dance Ensemble.
