YOU CAN’T GET PEACE FOR FREE

During the war Martakert district a few times passed from one side to the other and finally was liberated on July 23, 1992. Today the dangerous section of Azerbaijan-NKR border passes through Martakert which is under the control of the regiment headed by Colonel S.Grigoryan. On the front line are the soldiers of Major G.Manoukyan’s battalion.

The battalion has a rich biography. On September 4, 2011 the enemy’s subversive group tried to penetrate into our positions but the battalion’s subunits gave a proper repulse.

In 2011 autumn in the result of sudden checkups the battalion got “good” mark and antitank platoon – “excellent”.
