SUMMER CALL-UP CONTINUES

Call-up division head of the Central military office, Colonel Armen Avtandilyan tells.

-From July 1-15, 50% of the total number of conscripts have been called-up. From near abroad 35 recruits have been called, and from far abroad (Belgium, USA, Greece) – 7. A feature of this appeal is the fact that a large number of recruits are from large families, i.e., having 4 or more children. Recently, a conscript went to the army who has 7 brothers and 7 sisters.

FROM LARGE FAMILY – TO THE ARMY

Aram and Arthur Vardumyans are recruits. Their older brother is already serving. So from this family there are already 3 soldiers.

– We are not afraid of service. Arthur is a sambo wrestler, winner of the 2014 Armenian Championship, – says Aram, – and in the European Championship he was the fifth.

Aram Simonyan has two brothers and one sister. He is the first soldier of the family. He says he has to serve so well that his brothers Arkadiy and Simon take example of him.

Edmond Chobanyan has 3 sisters and 3 brothers. He says that they know how to help each other, trust, share what they have, and he thinks it will be easy for him in the army.
