I FOUND MY HERO

Early morning. Nature of Tavush is unimaginably beautiful. We came to a crossroad. They attached a sign where it was written by hand: “Be careful, the enemy shoots!” However, the villagers are not very serious about this sign: “If we, “be cautious “, then we have not go out of the house”, – they scoff.

To my surprise, there are many young people in the village. They accompanied us to their pantheon-memorial where are sleeping peacefully the men who died in the battles for the defense of the village.

We go to the temple Khoranashat. We are being asked not to talk loudly in order not to attract the attention of the enemy. I notice that even on the walls of the church there are traces of bullets of the enemy. Traces of the firing have almost all the village buildings.

I spent the night at my friend’s house. All night I was wondering how people live here, when they are forced to be on the lookout every day, walk under the walls, don’t switch on the light in the evening, so as not to be a target for the enemy?

For us who have grown up in the city, it is very difficult to find answers to these questions.

Even small children here understand very well that continuing to live here, they are the rear for the soldiers who are on the front line. Who are these ordinary people, the children, if not the Patriots, the real heroes? Heroes who under enemy fire continue to carve the land, graze livestock, to support a family without a murmur, and continuing to greet each new day with a smile.

There are such heroes not only in the village of Chinari. Today, under the fire there are numerous border villages of Armenia. For me, the real heroes are these ordinary people, because of the presence of which our soldiers-border guards feel more confident.
