OUR EFFORTS MUST BE AIMED AT CREATING COMFORT IN THE ARMY

Interview with Head of Department of capital construction and troops housing, state counselor of the 2nd class of the special civil service Ashot Grigoryan

– The year was quite difficult, but successful. In 2015 we have put in operation 8 residential buildings with 330 apartments, 2 headquarters-barracks, 2 barracks, 3 administrative buildings, 1 bath, 2 dining rooms with 750 seats, restored 3 first-aid posts. Area of 40,532 square meters was asphalted, 18 information and entertainment rooms were furnished, 19 classrooms, 34 rooms of consumer services, 24 weapons storage rooms, 114 rooms, 17 kitchens, 17 baths, 5 lodges, 8 checking points, etc. And in the construction work we realized qualitative change of materials.

At the direction of the Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, we bring barracks in line with modern standards. For each company or battery shower is designed, and in 2016 showers in new buildings will be provided with washing machines.

In one of the military units of the northern border and in the newly built canteen of the airport “Erebuni” systems operating on solar energy have been posted. It is economically advantageous. If we complete this started work, we’ll have savings equivalent to 300mln AMD.

In 2016 we will build a new service apartments in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vayk, Sisian, Goris, Agarak, Ijevan, Meghrab and Shahumyan region and, in 2017 393 servicemen will be provided with fully-furnished service apartments. In 2016 we outlined also the repair work carried out in the military enlistment offices, as right here is the representation of the army for a conscript. Our efforts must be aimed at creating comfort in the army.
