“YOUNG YERKRAPAH” PASSED THE TEST-REVIEW
On September 9, 2014 a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between the ministries of defense, of education and science and the Union of Volunteers Yerkrapah (UVY), which officially registered the activity of patriotic clubs “Young Yerkrapah” (defender of the country). At the initiative of Manvel Grigoryan and the involvement of experts of structures that have signed the memorandum with the UVY, command and sergeant courses are periodically held with the students of the structure.
As part of the UVY Syunik regional council there are regional branches of Kapan, Meghri, Goris, Sisian and Kashatagh. On February 24 in Kapan checking of squads of “Young Yerkrapah” clubs was held. Young defenders of territorial branches of Kapan, Goris, Sisian, Meghri, Agarak, Kajaran, etc. were present.
After the official ceremony the young Yerkrapah acted with demonstration performances of sports and martial arts, showing their skills, strength and flexibility.
Chairman of Kapan regional branch Manvel Ohanyan emphasized the role of the young Yerkrapah in the formation of a more efficient army and improving morale. Chairman of Kajaran regional branch Hovik Matinyan noted that students wish to become members of clubs of young Yerkrapah. Chairman of Meghri regional branch Hayk Aghamalyan was proud of his boys, who performed well at the test-review.
The mission of the “Young Yerkrapah” is from today to become the master and protector of their country.
