COMMANDER

Senior Lieutenant Andranik Kocharyan is 23, he is the peer of independence. He is in service only 2 years but he has entrusted the duties of the company commander in one of the southern military units of the NKR Army of Defense. He has already managed to get medals “For military duty” and “For Valour”, out of turn was promoted to Senior Lieutenant. Strongholds under his command carry out combat duty at a distance of a few tens of meters from the enemy positions.

Regardless of what prompted the suicide of a soldier, the size of responsibility of the military unit’s authorities does not diminish, and after the completion of the internal investigation all commanders will be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Those soldiers that are held in a criminal case will be prosecuted, and those who are accused of negligence in the line of duty, will be subjected to severe disciplinary action or to be relieved of their duties.

VICTORY OF MONTEISTS ON INTERNATIONAL MILITARY SPORTS GATHERING

On August 16-31 the team of Military Sports Lyceum after Monteh Melkonian participated in international youth training military-sports gathering “Union 2014: the descendants of Victory”, which was held in Kyrgyz Republic. Teams from Russian Federation (8), Kyrgyzstan (2), Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Moldova and Transnistria Moldova Republic also participated.

A NEW TRAINING PERIOD HAS LAUNCHED

Checks of the 1st Army Corps by the Main Military Inspectorate of the President of the Republic of Armenia and the periodic visits of RA Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan are left behind. Checks showed that combat training, readiness and military discipline in the Army Corps, operating under the command of Colonel Tigran Parvanyan, are at the highest level.

THEY SERVE WITH A SPECIAL DEVOTION

Traditionally, training periods in the armed forces begin with a three-day tactical combatant trainings. Classes (repeated many times during the day), conducted by the personnel of the squad and platoon, companies and battalions, and then – military unit, actually improve their skills with targeted actions, on the basis of everyday trainings and proficiency.
