According to current educational year’s combat preparation plan in the framework of the 1st army corpus 1-week commander’s camp was conducted. The aim was: to pass knowledge to the commander’s staff through theoretical and practical trainings, improve their skills.

Conscientious and proud, free and resolute. This is how Military-aviation Institute’s Deputy Head Lt.Colonel Davit Alexanyan described girl-students who were admitted this year – Ani Zhamharyan, Tatevik Rostomyan and Emma Khachatryan.

“They’ll take out this plaster and I’ll go to the regiment”, – says recruit soldier Arthur Asoyan who was wounded by the bullet of enemy’s sniper.
On August 23 around 11 o’clock on the combat point of one of the RA MoD regiments Norayr Petrosyan and Arthur Asoyan were found with gunshot wounds of the body. They were immediately transferred to the medical point, however Norayr Petrosyan’s life was not possible to save. Currently Arthur Asoyan continues his treatment in the MoD Central hospital.

In more and more “lessening” world because of scientific-technical progress, when it seems that there are no more military secrets, yet the task of quick, reliable and protected communication is important. If, from one side, people try to improve the system and make information unreachable for the enemy, from the other side, means have been developed to open “closed doors”, to get essential information.

On September 2-7 in the framework of 4th army corpus of RA Armed Forces wide-scale command-staff exercises were conducted headed by Head of RA AF General Staff Colonel General Youri Khachaturov. Numerous forces and means were used to perform various operations of defense and counter-attack, during them shooting tasks were also implemented. The main aim of the exercises was to check command staff’s knowledge and preparation level, as well as skills of cooperation between sub-units, ability of making quick and correct decisions in combat situation.

On September 3, in the Military Institute after V.Sargsyan for the first time command-staff courses were held for the senior officers staff of RA AF. Servicemen will get Master’s degree, as well as theoretical knowledge, experience, skills and professional approach.

It is not possible to revalue the role of engineering troops. In time created fortifications, barriers, other constructions sometimes have decisive meaning for the process and completion of military operations. Effectiveness of the arms work can be very high in mountainous conditions when there are no wide possibilities for the attacking side’s advancement, and natural and artificial fortifications make defense more reliable and at the same time allow to create unseen traps.
