On July 27 in one of the firing grounds of the training centre after Marshal Baghramyan the main, firing stage of tactical training with combat firing of the regiment after V.Sargsyan was held.
Training subject: “Regiment’s implementation into high level operational readiness. Transition into defense in the conditions of absence of direct contact with enemy. Defense fight’s conduct, stopping of enemy’s attack and enemy’s full extermination with counterattack and front line’s restoration”.

Comparing the qualities of present recruits with those of previous years we can say that this conscription considerably differs from the previous ones. In this regard regiments commanders, officers working with recruits express their satisfaction.

Glancing through “Hay Zinvor” newspaper’s first issues, I paid attention to a photo – a soldier holding a small boy in a military uniform. The photo was shot in the days of formation of our army.

One of the important preconditions of reforms in RA Armed Forces is the presence of skillful command staff.
When the enemy arms and thinks that provoking war it can win with the help of mercenaries, in our army spirit and high preparation prevail which impossible to implement without important role of commanders.
In the 1st army corpus according to education plan commanders’ assembly was held.

After a few days the Armenian army will be replenished with the 14th graduation officers of the Military Institute after V.Sargsyan.
In 2011-2012 education year the Military Institute will give 250 graduates specialities of motorized infantry, artillery, tankist, engineer and scout.
Examination period lasts from July 11 to 23, after that a graduation ceremony, lottery to define the service place, presenting diplomas and Lieutenant’s shoulder straps and… good service, Armenian army officer!

Аrmy’s image reflects on the moral appearance, mood and spirit of the society. Army’s shortcomings (killings, incidents with lethal outcome, favouritism) can demoralize the society, make it diffident, pessimist, malevolent. At the same time the army’s achievements become stimulus for the society, people’s spirit raises, they believe in tomorrow… And this forces us to raise the level all the time and be uncompromising to the imperfections of the army.

In this year the second – summer training stage has started in the national army. Now in the regiments tactical combatant trainings are conducted, after which the sub-units will set out realization of operational training program. Visiting the military sub-unit under the command of Major General Kamo Qochunts we saw how regiments’ commanders conduct test combatant inspection, specify the preparation level not only of officers and warrant officers but also sergeants and soldiers.
