National army
Commander of one of the NKR AD AAD units Colonel Aram Aydinyan presents the regiment’s path.
– At first our regiment was a small subunit equipped with very simple AAD (ant-aircraft defense) means, subsequently it became a battery. As anti-aircraft-rocket regiment it was formed in August, 1992. Since 1992 they participated in military operations in the directions of Askeran, Martakert, Martouni, Hadrut and Kashatagh and defended the capital Stepanakert and other settlements from enemy’s air attacks. During that time enemy’s 10 air means were demolished. In January 2007 the regiment was awarded with 2nd level order “Battle Cross”.
Fighting efficiency of RA AF AAD (anti-aircraft defense) periodically has been checked during military exercises, the last of them were held in September, 2011 in training ground Ashuluk of Astrakhan district of Russian Federation where our subunits got the highest mark.
“The military parade in Stepanakert was conducted in a high level of organization, it was very impressive. Unlike the previous parade held in 2007, this time many new and powerful arms were shown – new rocket-artillery complexes and non-pilot flying machines (NPFM) which are very important both in tactical and strategic meaning”, – told military expert Hrachya Petrosyants to Panorama.am.
More than 20 months in military service, actor studio, professional sport, diplomatic education – all this is concentrated in one soldier, Sergeant Vladimir Naljyan, whose friends call him just Vlad.
From 6 years he was participating in karate classes, after a year he was admitted to Sofi Devoyan’s dance-studio. At 9 he again joined karate course headed by Gor Vardanyan. Vlad’s mother, Svetlana has done everything that her sons, besides being model citizens, become also professional sportsmen.
National army’s engineering sub-units were formed during the Artsakh War. From those days till now they have done a huge work in defending the borders of our country, regulating more secure connection between the rear and the front line.
Preparing for the arm’s jubilee, the regiment’s sub-units under the command of Colonel Ara Haroutyunyan at the same time are keen to prepare worthly for the General Military Inspection’s check-up which is intended for Autumn.
As in 2010, in 2011 also the regiment headed by Lieutenant Colonel Ashot Ghazaryan showed the highest result and was awarded with the flag of honour “the best tank unit”. The facts speak for themselves – here the teaching of soldiery, service organization and discipline are on a firm basis.
For high results in 2011 the regiment under the command of Major A.Tarposhyan was recognized the best in the arms and was awarded with challenge banner of honour.
– Yet in 2010 the regiment has got “good” mark by the General Military Inspection, – told Major V.Danielyan. – In March, 2011 we conducted trainings in the Training Centre after Marshal Baghramyan which were concluded with tactical training with operational firing. We succeeded in fulfilling tasks and many servicemen were awarded with certificates, valuable presents, got vacations. In April-May one-month training was organized in the mountainous training centre. And here also we were the first.
