In this year the second – summer training stage has started in the national army. Now in the regiments tactical combatant trainings are conducted, after which the sub-units will set out realization of operational training program. Visiting the military sub-unit under the command of Major General Kamo Qochunts we saw how regiments’ commanders conduct test combatant inspection, specify the preparation level not only of officers and warrant officers but also sergeants and soldiers.

After 6-month interval the RA AF renewed their peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. In Zvartnots airport a solemn ceremony to see off the peacekeeping brigade took place, and 1st Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, 1st Deputy Head of RA AF GS Enrico Apriamov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of USA in RA John Heffern were present.

In various official statements it is made a special emphasis that «Azerbaijan doesn’t possess biological weapons» (representative of USA embassy in Azerbaijan), or – «there is no proof which would indicate that Baku possesses biological weapons» or «seeks to create such weapons» («Initiative against nuclear weapons»).

Azeri aggression face-off Armenia’s foreign policy is of great importance. All the international military-political alliances and the signed documents are aimed at ensuring of our country’s foreign security. First of all I should mention the effective cooperation with security systems – OSCE, NATO, etc. Bilateral contacts are also active, particularly the agreement on military cooperation with the Russian Federation can fully guarantee the security of the Republic of Armenia during big regional clashes.

RA MOD board’s enlarged session was held in Sports-Concert Complex after K.Demirchyan. During the meeting a group of RA AF servicemen was awarded with state and administrative orders and medals, honour-letters and valuable presents.

It is more than 10 years that in our republic June 29 is marked as the Memory Day of Missing in Action Azatamartiks (liberation soldiers). Every year relatives, friends as well as state and military authorities visit Pantheon Yerabloor (Three Hills) and put wrath on the Missing in Action Memorial.

On the basis of operating in RF since 1993 reserve officers’ organization “Megapir”, in 2011 “Onternational Consultative Council” (OCC) was founded with 16 member-states, including Armenia.
