Recently, Sergey Karapetyan, the grandson of Major General Sergey Karapetyan, commander of the 46th division of the Soviet Union, visited the newspaper “Armenian soldiers”.

After training I was appointed to serve in one of the units, performing a combat mission. I serve on the border more than a month, but have already managed to feel and, most importantly, understand the essence of life on the border.

2015 was a busy year for our army, especially for those performing combat duty. I mean implemented by the enemy treacherous and despicable actions on Armenia-Azerbaijan state border and on the line of contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani forces. However, we also note that this tension simultaneously gave our fighters experience, and in general they became more strong and courageous.
