“They’ll take out this plaster and I’ll go to the regiment”, – says recruit soldier Arthur Asoyan who was wounded by the bullet of enemy’s sniper.
On August 23 around 11 o’clock on the combat point of one of the RA MoD regiments Norayr Petrosyan and Arthur Asoyan were found with gunshot wounds of the body. They were immediately transferred to the medical point, however Norayr Petrosyan’s life was not possible to save. Currently Arthur Asoyan continues his treatment in the MoD Central hospital.

Iran has a balanced position towards Syria. Syria for Iran – it is a country with a crucial meaning. Before these events Syria-Iran relations were developing almost in all directions: political, economic, religious-cultural etc. Loosing Syria for Iran will mean loosing a strong “support” in the Middle East, and this “support” gives possibility to be freer while mentioning its position towards Israel. Loosing Syria for Iran – it is a strike on the geopolitical interests of the country both in Iraq and Lebanon.

Head of Information and propaganda department of the NKR Army of Defense, Lt.Colonel Senor Hasratyan published a big volume in Armenian, Russian and English «Army of Defense of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic» dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the liberation of Shoushi and formation of the Army of Defense.

In more and more “lessening” world because of scientific-technical progress, when it seems that there are no more military secrets, yet the task of quick, reliable and protected communication is important. If, from one side, people try to improve the system and make information unreachable for the enemy, from the other side, means have been developed to open “closed doors”, to get essential information.

Turkey has already significantly suffered from its hostile attitude towards Syria. On the initiative of Prime Minister Rejep Tayib Erdoghan and “Justice and prosperity” party trade-economic relations started to develop with the region’s countries. Turkey invested in Gulf countries – Quwait, Katar, UAE, Saudi Arabia. Goods freight was implemented via Syria-Lebanon-Israel-Egypt-Persian Gulf. Turkey-Syria relations became hostile, and now Syria doesn’t allow the goods to be transported сухопутно by land on trucks. There are no good relations with Iraq as well, with Iran it can’t implement transportation, that’s why the goods are transferred to Egypt on ferry and from there – to other countries.

On 9 September a meeting between the Head of ARM MoD Personnel and Military Education Department, Mher Shirinyan, Head of ARM MoD Defence Policy Department, Levon Ayvazyan and vice-rector of the Command Institute of the People’s Liberation Army of PRC, Major General Go Yandun was held at the administrative building of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.

On September 2-7 in the framework of 4th army corpus of RA Armed Forces wide-scale command-staff exercises were conducted headed by Head of RA AF General Staff Colonel General Youri Khachaturov. Numerous forces and means were used to perform various operations of defense and counter-attack, during them shooting tasks were also implemented. The main aim of the exercises was to check command staff’s knowledge and preparation level, as well as skills of cooperation between sub-units, ability of making quick and correct decisions in combat situation.
