The most effective means of maintaining secrecy and to prevent leakage of information have been and remain arrangements, and this has been our department’s work. The whole process of preservation of secrecy in the RA Armed Forces is governed by orders and directives of the Defense Minister and Chief of the General Staff. Unfortunately, sometimes such violations are identified, which are caused by lack of knowledge and low level of consciousness of the soldiers. And here the punishment is not enough. It is necessary to eliminate leak paths. For this purpose, we started to create propaganda posters, CDs, preparing lectures and spread them in the troops. In a short time it has given a positive result.

From 22 to 27 June, Minsk hosted the 13th gathering of engineering units of the Armed Forces of the CIS countries. Groups from Russia, Belarus and Armenia were engaged. In three competitions Armenian military took second place, and as a general offset – the third place.

Activities of the sergeants’ contract system in the Armed Forces of RA is regulated by the order approved by the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Armenia “Regulations of contractual sergeant’s military service in the RA Armed Forces.” Collection of candidates is carried out in the territorial military enlistment offices and military associations throughout the year, and their election – by a respective commission twice a year – in June and December.

It is common to say about the heroes that they come into the world, when they need to appear at a crucial moment for the people. And then? Yes, the heroes are immortal, but their posthumous fate is different: the name of one is always on the lips of the people, and the memory of others gradually fades away. And who would have thought that Davit Sarapyan’s fate would be of latters?

In our memory is still fresh brilliant performance of the Armenian tank-men in international competitions on tank biathlon.

And what would happen if in the defense system of Armenia they will take the process of organizing and conducting of championships of infantry biathlon? Since unlike tank biathlon, its organization is not only easier and more accessible, but may be more common, and any soldier could, within his capabilities, participate in this kind of competition, especially since the shooting range and unlimited possibility of cross-ways allow to combine shooting and running.

RA Government approved the draft law on Making Addenda to the RA Law “On State Pensions”, according to which is provided to calculate the equivalent to twice the period of combat duty on the front line at the end of the calendar time for a military pension. After 20 years of service the coming period is added to the service-period in doubling the size and double service-period is an additional amount.

On June 12 in Baku the first European games opened, where our athletes are participating in six sports: boxing, sambo, judo, shooting, taekwondo, and Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
At international representation championships, thanks to the excellent performances of military athletes of the Ministry of Defense, the Armenian flag was repeatedly raised and our national anthem sounded.
