Recently a solemn ceremony was held on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the formation of one of the RA AF military units and a separate artillery division. The military unit was formed on May 21, 1996 by order of Minister of Defence Vazgen Sargsyan. Colonel Mourad Kirakosyan, chevalier of 2nd degree “Battle Cross” was appointed as the first commander.

Logistic support is carried out in accordance with approved standards of government decisions, Minister’s orders and other managing documents. We continuously work towards improving food of servicemen, i.e. each year when during year- lanning we try to increase servicemen’s portion of food in such level which is essential for healthy and developing organism, bearing in mind also soldier’s load during the service, including combat duty.

My company was recognized as the best in the composition of a military unit on the results of 2013. I think it as a big achievement, since the competition is rather serious – there are many companies having a high level of combat readiness and military discipline. During the reporting period, we conducted three military exercises: 2 were scheduled and 1- out of schedule – and showed fairly good results. Successfully passed the final exams of the first training phase and of the end of the year.

The closer 2015, the more activated Turkish vector of propaganda. More projects of Armenian-Turkish civil society emerge – culturologists exchange, educational, youth programs – proving the Turkish thesis that despite the lack of communication between Yerevan and Ankara, there are no problems between Armenian and Turkish people, and they communicate. A false imagination of rapprochement and cooperation creates. Erdoghan’s letter shows that Ankara plans few steps and would try to forward in a different direction the expected discourse of 2015.

There is an Armenian footballer in the national football team of Iran – Andranik Teymouryan.
In the FIFA Table the Iranian team today occupies 37th place, in Asia – the 1st place.
Andranik Teymouryan was born in Tehran in 1983. His first football success he registered in the football club “Ararat” which was often compared with the Spanish club “Bilbao”. The team was also called “Orange” because the players used to wear orange uniforms.

The year of 1918 could be year of death for the Armenian nation if by God’s will would not happen “the miracle of Sardarabad”.
On May 21, 1918 the Turkish army occupies the station and village of Sardarapat, creating a direct threat to Yerevan.
The Armenian regiments which left to the enemy the whole Western Armenia and Kars district almost without resistance, could not retreat any more. They had to either accept the battle with determination to win, or pass the enemy the remaining last handful of soil of the Homeland.

To regulate relations between servicemen in the regiments, to include them in social activities, sports-cultural groups, to overcome the difficulties during the service with joint efforts Sergeants Councils and Public Actives have been created.
Regiment’s Sergeants Council manages sergeants’ activities, strengthens the link between the command and personnel. There are many questions during the service, which are better to solve not with the efforts of the command staff but with the help of sergeants. However first of all the Council’s task is to raise sergeants’ professional, commanding skills so they would be able to manage better their subordinates, and if necessary replace the platoon commanders, conduct trainings.
