On February 19th a joint forum of International Organization of Unrepresented Nations and Talish National Movement was held in Еuropean Parliament (Brussels) which was dedicated to the issues on establishing peace in the Caucasus, particularly, problems of the national minorities, first of all Talish people whom were given 2 from total 6 reports.
Leader of Talish National Movement, Talish-Mugan Republic’s President Alakram Gummatzoda (more known as Colonel Gumbatov who recently had visited Armenia and Artsakh(Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) gave the main speech. The second speech was given by Talish Movement’s member, political analyst Mrs Farziya Lankony (Kerimova).

Recently in the army corpus under the command of Colonel Tigran Parvanyan a consultation was held headed by Defense Minister S.Ohanyan. RA AF GS Head, Colonel General Yu.Khachaturov, Minister’s deputies, GS Head’s deputies, commanders of army corpuses and other sub-units were present.

Artillery training regiment is the only one in the national army that 5 consecutive years wins “the best” title and is being awarded with the banner of honour. According to the existing procedure in case of 3 consecutive successes the banner of honour gets its permanent registration in that same regiment. The thrust and hardworking staff fights for the second banner.
Regiment’s Commander Alexander Petrosyan says that “to become the first – it is not easy, since the other training regiments are also working very well, and we reached success in serious competition conditions”.

Yerevan municipality initiated a meeting in the school after Shant on February 20th. Deputy Head of the RA MoD Information and PR Department Felix Poghosyan, Head of General education department of municipality Gayaneh Soghomonyan, School unit’s Head of the same Department Anahit Melkonyan, directors and teachers of some schools were present.

We are in the peace-keeping brigade under the command of Major General Arthur Simonyan. Among the servicemen he mentioned Avag Kurdiyan who has been serving in the infantry battalion since 2011, in 2013 with the army grouping he was in Afghanistan ensuring security of Kunduz airport.

On the invitation of “Free Mind Centre of Ankara” and “Western Armenians National Congress” RA NA Member Aragats Akhoyan together with many Turk intellectuals and politicians participated in the forum “Commemoration to Hrant Dink’s Massacre”.
