RA AF GS Head Colonel General Yu.Khachaturov, AF GS Intelligence Department Head Major General Arshak Karapetyan, school directors, teachers of military training arrived to congratulate the regiment’s staff which is under the command of Colonel Arsen Kotoyan.
During his speech Colonel Kotoyan mentioned that in 2014 by the regiment’s units attempts violation of the state border by the enemy, implementation of sabotage were prevented. For the performance of combat missions and meritorious service 103 servicemen were awarded departmental awards and thanks certificates, and 106 – valuable gifts.

– Over the past two years there have been positive developments in the area of discipline, interpersonal relations, training, as well as social conditions. Already there are two dining rooms, a relaxation area with a computer center, a swimming pool, billiard hall. As for attempts of sabotage by the enemy, I would say that our soldiers have shown themselves heroically. We are strong with our soldiers. The main task set before our regiment is to protect the state border that our guys perform with honor. The enemy understood that he could not succeed.

In 2014 our unit was recognized the best in the military unit. 4 years in a row, our artillery battalion is one of the best in the unit. As part of division 2 consecutive years our second battery was voted the best.

For nearly a quarter century Azerbaijani propaganda is trying to prove to the world that the Armenians organized massacre of Azerbaijanis in Khojaly.
But what really happened?
In Khojaly, mainly inhabited by displaced Meskhetian Turks, was the only aeroprot that connected Artsakh with the outside world. Using the favorable location of the city and proximity to Stepanakert, Azerbaijanis day and night were conducting a continuous fire on the capital of Artsakh. The destruction of these firing points the Karabakh troops have taken on February 26, 1992.

From January 10 to February 10 in the Scientific Library of the State Pedagogical University after Kh.Abovyan the exhibition “The Armenian army – 23: books, stamps” was held. 130 books about army construction, Artsakh war, published in the last 23 years, were exhibited.

On my recent trip to Yerevan, a friend of mine whose name I will not disclose at this time, organized a three day trip to Artsakh for us.
Suffering from lack of sleep, and exhaustion, I tetxed him in the middle of the night that I must cancel.
He called me early next morning to check on my condition and bid his farewells.
There are moments in your life where you sense that there was a missed opportunity, that you should have made the extra effort and “been there”. You would never be able to recreate the experience ever again. It’s as if the Gods planned it, the power and the beauty of the forests unfolding its splendor and the wilderness dictating the law of the land…where in a moment of fierce battle and sniper shots you are moved with the tenderness by nothing more than animals crossing your path.
