On June 29 on the occasion of the Missing Liberation Warriors’ Memory Day Arm MoD and AF GF authorities, members of the Public Council by the Defense Minister, of the Governmental Commission on captives, hostages and missing persons, missing persons relatives, Artsakh war veterans and NGO representatives visited Yerabloor Pantheon, laid flowers and wreath on the memorial dedicated to the perished and missing liberation warriors of the Artsakh war, took part in holy ritual by RA AF spiritual head Father Vrtanes.
Recently the Military training classroom of the school no. 163 of the 6th New Nork Massive was named after Yervand Karapetyan – Chuto who died heroically during Artsakh war and was rewarded posthumously with medals “For Braveery” and “For Liberation of Shoushi”. Hero’s mother – Rosa was honoured to open the classroom.
The in turn spring call-up is on in the republic. Buses with recruits from Sisian, Akhuryan, Armavir, Hrazdan, Artashat, from Yerevan’s districts Arabkir and Shengavit enter the Central recruit station. The recruits are accepted by credentials committee of the recruit station headed by Lt. Colonel A.Avanesyan.
During the Artsakh war when the Azeri fire points in Karvachar were suppressed and the territory of important strategic significance was taken under control, in other fronts the enemy went into the counterattack and the second time bombarded Kapan (the first bombing was in December, 1992).
Our regiment is motorized infantry and has subunits in all the arms. The summer education stage we started with 3-day tactical-combatant trainings which were followed by sections’ harmonization. The weather was favorable, so we could implement on time the functions stipulated by the program.
According to the RA AF preparation plan on 11-13 June command-staff training was carried out in the field management points of units and regiments. The training’s main goal was to check the state of AF management system, abilities of respective sections, preparation level. The program of functions was composed on the projection of probable combat situations.
In the Artsakh war Yezids, living in Armenia, also participated. Their services are not forgotten, many of them were rewarded with Defense Ministry’s medals. Recently another awarding ceremony took place.
Alik Tamoyan, Usub Mkhoyan, Suto Hasoyan, Aso Hasanyan, Gulikhan Khudoyan, Fero Mstoyan, Siaband Bakoyan, Sos Shamoyan, Bro Hasanyan, Serzhik Avetisyan were rewarded with medals of RA MoD “Vazgen Sargsyan”, “Admiral Isakov”, Commander Andranik”, “Drastamat Kanayan”.
The medals were presented by senior officer from the RA MoD PR & Information Department Torgom Nalbandyan.
