“The military parade in Stepanakert was conducted in a high level of organization, it was very impressive. Unlike the previous parade held in 2007, this time many new and powerful arms were shown – new rocket-artillery complexes and non-pilot flying machines (NPFM) which are very important both in tactical and strategic meaning”, – told military expert Hrachya Petrosyants to Panorama.am.

More than 20 months in military service, actor studio, professional sport, diplomatic education – all this is concentrated in one soldier, Sergeant Vladimir Naljyan, whose friends call him just Vlad.
From 6 years he was participating in karate classes, after a year he was admitted to Sofi Devoyan’s dance-studio. At 9 he again joined karate course headed by Gor Vardanyan. Vlad’s mother, Svetlana has done everything that her sons, besides being model citizens, become also professional sportsmen.
In the days of Shoushi liberation there were no armaments, no food, 200 reservists were waiting for weapons of their perished friends to go to battlefield, says General Arkadiy Ter-Tadevosyan: «There was no Stepanakert any more, «Grad» was bombing each square meter. The city was dieing, and there was no difference for them – to die today or tomorrow? To take Shoushi – that was the task of life and death for the Artsakh people. My people, my commanders «forced» to take such a decision. I was subordinate to Defense Committee of Serge Sargsyan. I asked him – shall we take? He said – we take!»
9th of May has another name – Shoushi liberation day. 70 years ago the Azeris illegally took away the Armenian lands and wanted to possess them forever turning out the Armenians from Artsakh. However the proud Artsakh Armenian rose to become the master of his faith.
The first days of May Azeri mass media yelled with big enthusiasm about the record sum of the Armed Forces Support Fund – 25mln Azeri Manats ($32mln). In reality the information on Funds activities spread by the Azerbaijan Defense Ministry only limits with the publications about the collected funds. Since its foundation – August 17, 2002, till now there is no any information about the purposes of the Fund.
My father was one of the millions of people, tens of thousands Armenians who forged the victory… Each year I put flowers on his grave. However, the last 15 years being in foreign land I have no possibility to fulfill my filial duty. I wrote a few lines in my father’s memory – Virab Haroutyunyan, who was at War for 5 years and returned with victory.
