On March 4, in the administrative complex of the Ministry of Defense an event dedicated to the International Women’s Day was hosted. The event started with screening of the film “Wait for me, and I will be back!”, which is dedicated to women contract-soldiers.

A few days ago conscript of military unit of south-eastern direction of the NKR Army of Defense, petty officer of the position, Sergeant Gevorg Avetisyan was encouraged for a high level of combat training at detention of reconnaissance commando invasion of special purpose units of the enemy.

He is well-known writer and philosopher, historian and translator, and filmmaker. He was born in 1947 in Akhaltsikh. He studied at the Leningrad Polytechnic University. In Russian came out collections of his poems and stories, which have been translated into different languages. There are collections also in Armenian.

On September 9, 2014 a tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between the ministries of defense, of education and science and the Union of Volunteers Yerkrapah (UVY), which officially registered the activity of patriotic clubs “Young Yerkrapah” (defender of the country).

On February 26, in the Hall of Charents of the Yerevan State University the 50th anniversary of the Artsakh war participant, graduate of the Department of Journalism of the Faculty of Philology of YSU, Ph.D. student Norayr Marutyan was celebrated.

The other day, a soldier was killed in the Armenian army – Yezidi by nationality. Friendship of the Armenian and Yezidi people, their military alliance have come a long historical path – from Sardarapat to Artsakh. Let us remember the great Yezidi hero, famous military leader Jahangir Agha, whose descendant was Teymur Sloyan.
