Respected Mr.President!
I decided to write you, to a politician who has breathed new life to the principle of self-determination of peoples. Your word – “The peoples themselves have to decide the fate of their territories” – gave me (a survivor of 10 years in prison on death row, sentenced by Aliyev’s regime) and all Talysh people hope for the final victory of justice.
Our biggest problem was and remains the improvement of interpersonal relations and the establishment of the statutory morals that is aimed at increasing the combat capability of the army and strengthening border security guarantees. A large number of criminal cases are up under Article 359 of the Criminal Code, it is – a violation of statutory relations. At first glance, this may seem harmless crime but in reality has a hidden potential that can develop into a serious crime. Strengthening of statutory relations is the best guarantee of creating of a people-centered army. Tolerance is not a legal category, but intolerance in the troops can lead to a contradiction with the law. Therefore it is necessary to use all the levers of education, propaganda and moral-psychological suggestion so the behavior of a soldier would becme more aware, responsible, law-abiding, self-controlled.
On May 17, Air Defense troops of the national army celebrated the 23rd anniversary of their formation.
In the protection of the airspace of Armenia divisions and specialists of the 102nd Russian military base are also involved, which also perform combat duty, and in internetwork command post in the clock duty Armenian and Russian experts are included.
After the Second World War, many prisoners remained in the USSR. Their labor was used for the reconstruction of what they used to destroy.
On the territory of Armenia there were 10-13 POW camps in Yerevan, Kirovakan, Leninakan, Spitak… They built houses, roads (Victory Bridge, the building of the Sevan mental hospital, stadium “Dynamo”, Aluminum Plant).
Samshvilde – is one of the six Armenian villages of Tetritskaro district in Georgia, founded by the end of the 18th century by migrants from the village of Kanaker from Western Armenia. Before the Great Patriotic War in Samshvilde there were already 2000 residents. For 4 years of war 200 people were recruited from the village, 107 from them did not return from the war.
My dear people!
I congratulate you on the anniversary of the Great Victory!
On May 9, 1945 the Soviet people hoisted the flag of victory in the heart of Germany – Berlin. At that time the Soviet Union was a great power. All peoples had equal rights and their role in achieving victory was evaluated. That time people were not valued on a national basis but on their merits.
Each of us is the heir to the sad and painful pages of our history, and Lebanon has its share of these pages.
Many centuries ago, the Armenian King Tigran conquered Lebanon, but after centuries, the people of that great king set foot on this soil as a migrant, survivor of torture and persecution. However, they never asked for alms and with their work rose to their feet, became loved and respected by the local population. Thousands of orphans, too, have found shelter in this land, in Dzhibile in an orphanage “Bird’s Nest” of Danish missionary Maria Yakubson, in other orphanages.
