In the training regiments trainings started before than in combat regiments – on February 9. Before that, a solemn oath ceremony of previously recruited cadets was held.

Each year, the commander of Army of Defense invites journalists to military units to the front line and says – write what you see! Journalist in the first place is a citizen of our country, and deserves the moral right to criticize the army only in case of fair and respectful attitude for the army or if he has contributed to the construction of the army. In such cases, we are even grateful if they point to some omissions, but conduct of dirty talk against the army is not just ethical and not worthy of person who loves his homeland.

All-Armenian declaration angered Turkey. Recently we have a lot of pride in our army, that it is an established structure. However, it seems to me that we very much look forward to the army. Developing societies ought to think about the harmony of all spheres. It’s not possible to consider the army as established structure if one or another branch of the society is poorly developed. Every day I become an eyewitness to the glorification of the criminal world, thieves’ morals in the series, plays, books. How it happened that our people suddenly put all these at the very top of propaganda? My childhood was spent in the postwar years, when the conditions were much more difficult, but one of thousands chose this path. And no one boasted such people. On the contrary, they said – how did it happen that he turned away from the true path? Who is the hero of our time? Time creates a hero! If someone puts morals at the heart of his activities, he becomes a hero of our time, because today there is a demand for morality.
