At the initiative of the NKR Defense Army Command and with the assistance of RA Ministry of Defense, in 2014 about 1500 servicemen, who manifested themselves well during the service, got a surprise vacation. In all regional centers of Armenia meetings were held with parents and the NKR AoD command. The goal of these activities is to strengthen the relationship between the army and society. A series of such events of this year was completed in the capital of Armenia.

he 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is approaching. Former soldier of the Armenian army (demobilized 1 year ago) Vanand Mkrtchyan created a petition on the site Change.org, the purpose of which is to inform humanity about the Armenian Genocide. He turned to the Google company to place a doodle on the front page of its website on April 24, 2015.
For about 25 thousand people have already joined this petition, and this figure is growing rapidly.

Current year for Armenian army even though was tensed, but it was also successful, – said Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan to the journalists after the meeting with parents and relatives of servicemen in the Center administrative region of Yerevan on December 21, and mentioned that the final report on 2014 will be in the end of January on the occasion of the Day of Army.

According to NKR AoD Commander, the Karakagh problem has been already resolved, during the time the enemy will be forced to be aware of that fact, when in Azerbaijan they will sober up and give a correct assessment of reality.

On the order of Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan under the aegis of the Public Council by the Defense Minister, a special Commission is formed to consider applications and complaints of the citizens. Defense Minister’s Advisor, Chairman of Public Council Gegham Harutyunyan is appointed as Head of the Commission.

November 26 is a memorable day for the Armenian peacekeepers. Since that day we perform under the UN flag, though more than 10 years we implement peacekeepers’ mission, also for the first time we go to this region. Lebanon is the Middle East which is in the zone of interests of the external security of Armenia. That’s why with our service in UNIFIL we also contribute to ensuring the external security of the Republic of Armenia.
