Tat or Caucasian Persian language in historical Shirvan during the Islamic Middle Ages to the early 20th century was the primary language of the territory, as evidenced also by so-called father of Azerbaijani historiography Abbas Ghuli Agha Bakikhanov. In subsequent years, as a result of the introduction of Turkism and an active policy of assimilation of indigenous peoples, it was expelled from the areas of expansion.
On August 15, 1st Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia, Davit Tonoyan, left for Moscow on a working visit and had several meetings with General Secretary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Nikolay Bordyuzha and Secretary of Council of CIS Defense Ministers, Alexander Sinayskiy.
The Ukrainian crisis offers the West an opportunity to create a new military alliance in the buffer zone between Europe and Russia. Ukraine is a “prelude” of the plan, diverting attention of Moscow from the steps of formation of a new military-political union. According to Western political scientists, the cornerstone of this alliance will be Poland.
After gaining independence an effective system of cooperation has been formed between the defense departments of our countries. 2010 was a watershed in the sphere of military cooperation when the annual plan of military cooperation was signed between the ministries of defense, and this tradition continues till now. In the plan are included peacekeeping, mountain preparation, military education etc. The plan also provides for the exchange of experience in core areas.
As for the prospects of the Armenian-Georgian cooperation, it should be noted that currently opportunities are being explored to start cooperation in new areas.
Erdoghan has made a few statements that they have to refuse from the European Union, but that is not realistic. Nazarbayev has only made a gesture. The West has strong resistance to EEC, and Turkey, besides being the West’s ally, is also a NATO member. In case if Turkey enters EEC, it must refuse from NATO.
This story is both tragic and comic.
This happened more than 25 years ago in Baku. There was the annual meeting in the Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. A new president of Academy was elected on the place of Abdullayev, who in all his speeches, as a rule, was repeating: “Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan after its establishment has not yet made any scientific discovery”.
Ukrainian crisis and the new status of Crimea can’t not to make Azerbaijan concerned where many problems remains unresolved for decades.
